In this introductory session, we’ll explore the concept of a SharePoint intranet tailored specifically for legal practices. You’ll learn the benefits of having a centralized hub for your team and how it can improve communication, collaboration, and efficiency. We'll also discuss the key components of a successful intranet and provide you with a roadmap to design the blueprint for your site. This includes gathering requirements, consulting with your team, and creating a strategic plan for your intranet.

Blueprint to Reality - Planning and Preparation
Week 1 | Day 2
Date: Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 2-3:00 pm CDT
In this hands-on session, you’ll start turning your blueprint into reality. We'll walk through the process of setting up the initial framework for your intranet in SharePoint. You’ll see how to structure the site, create and organize pages, and set permissions to ensure the right people have the right access. Follow along on your computer as you configure your site live, with time for Q&A to address any challenges you face.
CLASS 3:
Customizing Your Legal Practice Intranet
Week 2 | Day 3
Date: Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 2-3:00 pm CDT
In this session, we’ll dive deeper into customizing your intranet to meet the specific needs of a legal practice. You’ll learn how to create document libraries, integrate legal-specific workflows, and add web parts that enhance productivity and collaboration. The focus will be on making the intranet user-friendly and efficient for legal professionals, with practical examples and templates you can use.
CLASS 4:
Hands-On Final Touches and Deployment
Week 2 | Day 4
Date: Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 2-3:00 pm CDT
In the final hands-on session, you’ll learn how to apply the finishing touches to your intranet before deploying it to your team. We’ll cover branding, user training, and ongoing maintenance to ensure your intranet remains a valuable resource. Participants will follow along as we finalize configurations, test the site, and prepare for a successful launch. Q&A will be available to help you overcome any last-minute hurdles.
All classes will be followed by a 15 to 20-minute Q&A.
